Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Plumber Helper / Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the plumbing industry while learning from experienced licensed plumbers.
The Plumbing Apprentice will assist technicians with residential and commercial service and repair work. This is NOT a new construction position. You will gain hands-on experience diagnosing plumbing issues, assisting with repairs, operating specialized equipment, and delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers with residential and commercial service calls.
- Help diagnose plumbing issues and prepare work areas.
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
- Assist with drain cleaning, hydro jetting, sewer inspections, leak detection, water heater installations, fixture replacements, and general plumbing repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and documentation when required.
- Keep tools and equipment clean and in proper working condition.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous plumbing experience is a plus but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Customer service experience.
- Service and repair plumbing experience.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
