Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as JONAS POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and other beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, wine pairings, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills, ensuring prompt service without sacrificing quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, assisting with food handling, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections, spirits, and menu options to elevate the guest experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus.\
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to serve confidently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates welcoming atmospheres.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously through effective time management.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and food safety standards is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing; attention to detail is essential.
- Experience in bussing tables, serving guests, or supporting host/hostess duties preferred.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
