Employment Opportunity
Inter-Con Security is seeking an experienced and professional Security Lead/Supervisor to join our team in Byhalia, Mississippi. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, supporting Security Officers on shift, and helping ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate has prior leadership experience, excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and support Security Officers during assigned shifts.
- Monitor daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policies.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of assigned facilities.
- Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and unusual activity.
- Assist with investigations and document incidents through detailed written reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Communicate effectively with Security Management, client representatives, and fellow team members.
- Ensure officers are properly equipped, briefed, and performing assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring newly assigned personnel.
- Report operational concerns and recommend corrective actions when appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of security lead or supervisory experience required.
- Previous security experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to write clear, detailed, and accurate incident reports.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and incident reporting systems.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies.
- Must successfully pass all required background screenings and any site-specific hiring requirements.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform routine patrols throughout the assigned facility.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to respond quickly during emergency situations.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
