Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical components that keep our hotel running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation.
- Conduct welding, residential painting, and other general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel’s aesthetic and safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose system faults accurately.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to assess electrical circuits and components.
- Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with contractors when necessary, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking repairs and scheduling future work.
- Lead small teams or supervise external vendors during major repairs or renovations while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests, providing excellent customer service by resolving issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations across all maintenance activities. Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLCs, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, HVAC systems, welding techniques, and residential painting skills.
- Ability to read technical schematics and operate testing tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities context is preferred; leadership skills are essential for team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective collaboration with team members.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as welding, electrical repairs, mechanical troubleshooting, and general repairs.
