Role Description The Director of Catering is a full-time, on-site role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, responsible for developing and leading the catering program for Knuckies Sandwiches & Sips. This role oversees day-to-day catering operations, including managing inquiries, preparing proposals, confirming orders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery and setup. The Director of Catering builds and maintains relationships with corporate, community, and event clients, actively prospecting new accounts and executing sales strategies to grow catering revenue. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house teams, monitoring food quality and presentation, managing inventory for catering events, and resolving customer issues promptly and professionally. The role also involves forecasting, reporting on catering performance, developing menus and packages, training team members on catering standards, and ensuring all events meet brand and food safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong catering-focused sales skills, including Catering Sales and Sales experience, with the ability to generate leads, close business, and build long-term client relationships.
- Hands-on Food & Beverage and Catering expertise, with knowledge of menu planning, event logistics, food safety, and operational execution for small and large events.
- Excellent Customer Service capabilities, including clear communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for diverse clients.
- Proven experience in catering management, restaurant or hospitality leadership, including scheduling, team coordination, and vendor or partner collaboration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with basic technology tools (POS systems, CRM or sales tracking software, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring) to manage orders and client information.
- Ability to work on-site in the North Atlanta Metropolitan Area, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Experience training and mentoring team members on catering procedures and service standards; previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail; ability to lift and move catering equipment and supplies as needed.
Pay: $41,600.00 - $55,000.00 per year
