Pay
Pay will be based off performance. Base pay usually starts at $16/hour + Tips. Average hourly pay after tips range from an additional $5 - $10 / hour.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with accuracy and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and dining spaces
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and manage retail math with precision
- Ensure food safety standards are met through proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service with knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Excellent time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a lively and energetic attitude
