Job Summary
We are not going to use AI to lie to you about why you should work for us. Just like this posting, we are an honest and straight forward trucking company looking for several OTR drivers with a good *driving* record.
We have recently acquired several new vehicles and are looking for both CDL and non-CDL drivers for box trucks and 40 foot hotshots. Driving positions start at 21% for non-CDL and 25% for CDL. We LOVE to give raises to drivers who are on time, professional, can independently handle minor problems, thoroughly check paperwork, and accurately document their work. Drivers who have further qualifications such as TWIC, HAZMAT etc will receive higher compensation.
The trucks have been modified to provide a comfortable sleeping space for our drivers and our fuel program provides free showers.
We have a dedicated team of dispatchers who are available 18 hours a day. Our authority is older than 1 year, so you're guaranteed freight.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including Box Trucks or Hotshots with automatic transmissions, adhering strictly to DOT regulations.
- Effectively use a GPS to find the optimal route.
- Load and unload freight using proper techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to truck loading and unloading and cargo securement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations, and incident reports when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly in OTR routes involving long-distance travel.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Experience with route planning using GPS navigation systems and managing delivery schedules efficiently.
- Prior delivery driver experience is a bonus.
- Experience working with a team or at a minimum you have played team sports.
- DRIVER MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK ENOUGH ENGLISH TO ABIDE TO FMCSA REGULATIONS.
