Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and willing to learn Plant Operator to join our team. Here at Como, we run a Re-Refining process that uses Used Oil to create Base Oil. The Plant runs 24/7 and we are looking for someone to join our crew to help fill vacation and time off. We have 8 employees who run the plant and are looking to expand. The job would be working normal 8-5 hours Monday through Friday unless there are shifts that need to be covered. All shifts are 12 hours and run from 5 am to 5 pm for day shift or 5 pm to 5 am for day shift. You will be expected to cover those shifts when co-workers take vacations, so you won’t always work Monday through Friday. All shifts are 2-man crews so you will always be working with someone. Someone with mechanical and computer skills would be ideal but there will be training on the job so you will learn how the plant runs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure plant operates at an optimal level
- Troubleshoot problems and issues within the plant and be able to diagnose them
- Interpret computer readouts and levels to determine plant efficiency
- Repair and rebuild pumps and pipes when needed
- Conduct routine inspections and walkthroughs of plant and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of plant production and work
- Must be prompt and communicate well with the team
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
