Rooted Dentistry is searching for an experienced Lead Dental Assistant who is passionate about exceptional patient care, developing others, and creating a positive, accountable team culture.
This is not a traditional lead assistant role. We are looking for someone who leads by example, loves helping teammates grow, embraces innovation, and wants to be part of a practice that is constantly striving to improve.

We are constantly investing in new technology and education, so we're looking for someone who is excited—not intimidated—by learning new systems.
Your Role
Approximately 75% Clinical
- Chairside assisting in all areas of general dentistry
- Providing an exceptional patient experience
- Supporting efficient doctor flow
- Maintaining excellent clinical standards
Approximately 25% Leadership & Administration
- Training and onboarding new assistants
- Performing clinical audits and quality assurance
- Coaching team members through feedback and accountability
- Assisting in developing clinical systems and protocols
- Helping maintain consistency across the clinical team
- Supporting leadership initiatives and practice growth
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate:
- Has extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry
- Is confident assisting restorative, crown and bridge, surgery, endodontics, and other comprehensive procedures
- Is comfortable adapting to new technology and workflows
- Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Leads with humility, positivity, and professionalism
- Is approachable and enjoys helping teammates succeed
- Holds themselves and others to high standards while maintaining a supportive attitude
- Communicates well under pressure
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Wants to build a long-term career rather than simply work a job
Bonus Qualifications
- Invisalign experience
- Experience training or leading other assistants
- Experience with digital scanning and CAD/CAM workflows
- Familiarity with Open Dental
