Our client is seeking an experienced Extrusion Lead Operator to oversee daily operations and ensure the production of high-quality products. Responsibilities of the Extrusion Lead Operator
Oversee daily operations across all extrusion lines to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Provide leadership and guidance to extrusion operators, coordinating production priorities and monitoring performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, promoting a culture of excellence.
Set up and operate PET extrusion lines, adjusting process parameters to meet product specifications.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for extrusion processes and lead process optimization initiatives.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on extrusion equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Train and support extrusion operators, fostering technical accountability and process discipline.
Requirements of the Extrusion Lead Operator
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of five years of experience in processing manufacturing equipment.
Strong understanding of PET extrusion processes and ability to perform basic preventive maintenance.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with PET drying systems, crystallization, moisture control, and IV management.
English proficiency required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
