We are hiring for Crossville that has 9 hours avaailble right now; we are also looking for a PRN (on call or covers) for sparta and surrounding locations
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to clients of all ages.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.
- Support clients with mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during movement.
- Administer medications as prescribed, maintain detailed care plans, and document all patient interactions thoroughly.
- Offer companionship and emotional support tailored to individual needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care and memory care strategies.
- Facilitate transportation for medical appointments or community activities while ensuring client safety at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and manual handling procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with clients requiring specialized care such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or intellectual disabilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for providing personal transportation assistance if needed.
- Compassionate attitude combined with physical stamina to support clients’ physical and emotional needs across various home & community care environments.
