Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine (Print) Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining various printing machinery, including flexo presses, CNC equipment, and screen printing systems, to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in print production processes, quality control, and machinery troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate diverse printing machines such as flexo presses, CNC equipment, and screen printing systems to meet production specifications.
- Perform prepress tasks including layout design, typography adjustments, and color management to ensure accurate reproduction.
- Monitor print quality throughout production runs by conducting regular inspections and implementing quality control measures.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize print output, color fidelity, and material efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of production parameters, machine maintenance schedules, and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous workflow.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and prepress teams to interpret project requirements accurately.
- Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on machinery to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed for raw material loading or finished product transportation.
- Support machining tasks related to custom parts or machine components when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating printing machinery such as flexo presses, CNC machines, or screen printing systems.
- Strong knowledge of print processes including prepress preparation, color management, and layout design.
- Proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of machining techniques and CNC operations is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, typography standards, and print advertising specifications.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting machinery issues.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
