Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Circulating Nurse, a vital role dedicated to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of surgical procedures. In this energetic and fast-paced environment, you will serve as a critical link between surgical teams, patients, and support staff, coordinating all aspects of perioperative care.
Duties
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
- Act as a patient advocate during surgery, monitoring patient status and communicating vital information to the surgical team.
- Assist in positioning patients safely on the operating table while adhering to aseptic technique and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless surgical procedures.
- Manage intraoperative documentation accurately within EHR systems, including patient assessments, procedure details, and medication administration.
- Maintain strict infection control standards by following infection prevention protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Respond swiftly to intraoperative needs or emergencies, including acute pain management, airway management, or equipment troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred
- Current Washington State or Multi-State RN license required.
- Current BLS/CPR, ACLS & PALS certifications
