Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and leading the maintenance team. This individual will oversee and perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, painting, machine servicing, electrical or vehicle servicing with minimal supervision. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in the above-mentioned areas. Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all maintenance activities in the facility are appropriately carried out.
- Keeps a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted.
- Accomplishes maintenance human resource objectives by training, scheduling, counseling and disciplining employees.
- Performs a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Schedules and completes the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results.
- Provides technical guidance/direction to other maintenance personnel.
- Coordinates and performs onsite ISO Inspection for MPCA isotainer fleet including initial 2.5 year and full 5-year inspection requirements.
- Maintains all certification required for confined entry as part of 5-year ISO inspection task.
- Establishes, implements and modifies predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling systems.
- Maintains monthly inspection and maintenance of HVAC’s and replace filters and parts as needed.
- Coordinates special projects as directed by the Plant Manager (PM) or Operations Manager.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Responsible for alerting the PM or Ops Manager of any unusual occurrences and/or damage that may have taken place or might occur.
- Maintains a professional courteous manner with all vendors and contractors.
- Establishes, implements and modifies predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling systems.
- Assures safety standards are used.
- May be assigned special projects and other responsibilities.
- Maintains monthly inspection and maintenance of HVAC’s and replace filters and parts as needed.
- Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
- Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel).
- Good math and analytical skills.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in preferred technical field or equivalent is required (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering).
- Requires 3+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor.
- Experience in Chemical Manufacturing industry required.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking, working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, walk on high elevation grating, work in inclement weather, work around loud industrial equipment, and work outdoors with reasonable accommodations.
- Must be physically able to bend or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machinery.
- Outdoor exposure and seasonal extreme heat or cold.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
