GENERAL PURPOSE
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing existing client accounts while effectively onboarding new clients within the nutraceutical industry. This role serves as a key liaison between clients and internal departments, including Business Development, Production Planning, Research & Development, Finance, and Production.
Success in this position requires strong project management capabilities, effective supply chain communication, and exceptional relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and grow assigned customer accounts from onboarding through project completion.
· Lead the completion of RFQs (Requests for Quotes) and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
· Oversee and manage complex Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support project execution.
· Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to foster long-term partnerships.
· Develop detailed project plans aligned with customer goals and timelines.
· Monitor order readiness, material procurement, and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
· Provide timely and accurate production updates to internal teams and customers.
· Respond to all customer inquiries with a same-day turnaround, ensuring exceptional service.
· Coordinate and lead regular customer meetings to review project progress and performance.
· Monitor internal department performance (R&D, Estimating, Production) to meet customer expectations.
· Facilitate smooth and successful onboarding processes for new clients.
· Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and actively work to ensure retention.
· Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within assigned accounts strategically.
· Collaborate with the Finance team to monitor and audit account performance.
· Manage accounts receivable activities, including payment follow-up and issue resolution.
· Proactively assess and mitigate risks to ensure continuous account stability and customer satisfaction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: College and/or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Account Management and/or Customer Service, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience working in a cGMP-compliant manufacturing environment, such as Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, or Food industries.
- Proven experience in project management and a strong understanding of supply chain operations, especially within regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Highly organized with exceptional time management abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong process management skills and a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency across tasks.
- Technologically proficient with high computer literacy; comfortable navigating software, ERP systems, and digital tools.
- Strong & compelling writing and verbal communication skills; equally strong listening skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Certification or License: PMP
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
