Builder Business Development & Estimating Manager

About the Opportunity
Blackridge Group is the management company behind two growing residential electrical contractors: Faze Electric in Arizona and Ikon Electric in Utah. We work with homebuilders on new construction residential projects and are looking for the right person to help us grow our builder relationships, get on more bid lists, and win more work.
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk corporate sales job. We are looking for someone who understands residential construction, knows how builders operate, and is willing to actively pursue new opportunities.
The right person for this role is driven, organized, competitive, and wants their income to be tied to the value they create.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with homebuilders, purchasing teams, construction managers, and developers
- Help get Ikon Electric and Faze Electric on new builder bid lists
- Follow up consistently with builder contacts and keep opportunities moving
- Review plans, scopes, and bid requests for residential electrical projects
- Prepare and submit competitive electrical bids
- Coordinate with field leadership to make sure pricing, scope, and capacity line up
- Track new opportunities, active bids, follow-ups, and awarded work
- Help negotiate pricing, scopes, revisions, and change orders
- Represent the company professionally with builders and trade partners
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with experience in construction, homebuilding, purchasing, estimating, subcontracting, or trade-related sales.
You may be a good fit if you have worked for a homebuilder, subcontractor, supplier, purchasing department, estimating department, or construction company and understand how new construction projects are bid and awarded.
Electrical experience is a strong plus, but it is not required if you understand residential construction and are willing to learn the electrical side.
The right person will be:
- Hungry to grow and win new work
- Comfortable making calls, setting meetings, and following up consistently
- Organized enough to manage multiple bids and builder relationships
- Able to read plans or willing to learn quickly
- Comfortable talking with purchasing managers, builders, and field teams
- Self-motivated without needing to be babysat
- Interested in a role where performance creates real upside
Compensation
This position includes a base salary plus commission.
Base Salary: Depends on experience
Commission: Based on awarded contract value and project progress
On-Target Earnings: $120,000 - $180,000+
Earnings are not capped

Location & Schedule
This position is based out of our office in American Fork, Utah.
Occasional travel to Arizona may be required, typically 3 to 4 short trips per year.
