Support, Inc. needs dependable one-on-one workers to assist within our Piedmont Charter school setting to ensure that students with special needs are as successful as possible during the 2026-2027 school year. You will be out for all school holidays, teacher work days and summer breaks as well. We are unable to guarantee hours to you during the breaks and summertime when school is out.
You may be asked to sub or fill in with another student or at another school if your client is absent for the day. You must fill out a simple daily note based on the times worked with your student and you will turn your note in at the end of the week to our main office in Gastonia.
Staff may be asked to assist with behaviors, assist a student with physical disabilities, assist with students with autism or down syndrome, keep student on task, assist with coping skills, etc. (job responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the student.)
This position is part of the IDD Department at Support, Inc. You can check out our website at www.supportinc.org. Minimum educational requirement is a high school degree. Pay range starts at $14 per hour. Staff will be eligible for raise once gaining experience. We look forward to hearing from you!
