Golf Course Maintenance

Birkdale Golf Club has an employment opportunity and is looking to hire a part time and/or full time golf course maintenance staff member, who under the direction of the Director of Agronomy and Assistant Superintendent will perform routine manual labor involved in agronomy. This includes operating powered maintenance equipment such as tractors and mowing equipment and does related work.
Skills, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates and services small mowing and trimming equipment, utility vehicles, and other motorized equipment.
- Manually loads and unloads trucks and trailers.
- Rakes all traps.
- Plants seeds and lays sod.
- Expose underground irrigation components for repair and fills and levels holes.
- Able to mow greens as needed or requested.
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
- Able to work weekends as needed or requested.
- Performs other related responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Always maintains safe working conditions.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of maintenance/grounds related equipment.
- Physical strength.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Previous experience with mowing equipment.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Experience:
- Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred)
