We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused Counter Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with customers. If you enjoy solving problems, working with industrial products, and helping customers find the right solution, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As a Counter Sales Representative, you'll be the face of Texas Iron & Metal for walk-in customers. You'll ensure every customer receives outstanding service from the time they arrive until they are loaded with their order.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet customers and provide an exceptional buying experience.
- Generate quotations and process customer orders accurately.
- Develop relationships with contractors, fabricators, manufacturers, and industrial customers.
- Recommend products and identify upselling and alternative opportunities.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Verify product availability and communicate lead times.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns quickly and professionally.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and professional sales counter.
- Support company sales initiatives and contribute to team revenue goals.

Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Previous customer service or sales experience (industrial, construction, manufacturing).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn ERP software.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, warehouse personnel, and sales teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
