Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to execute remodeling projects accurately.
- Perform a wide range of building material installations including flooring, tile laying, cabinetry, window and door hanging, and drywall finishing.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and install various materials such as wood, concrete, stucco, and masonry.
- Conduct carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, door installation, and custom cabinetry.
- Manage plumbing and electrical work where necessary, ensuring compliance with safety codes and technical specifications.
- Execute roofing repairs or installations along with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration work to enhance structural integrity.
- Utilize Bluebeam software for digital plan review and project documentation; oversee construction management tasks such as scheduling and quality inspections.
- Ensure all work aligns with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications through thorough construction inspection.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to interpret blueprints and schematics for precise project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools like caulking guns, plastering tools, welding equipment, and more.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on remodeling projects across residential settings.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, heavy machinery operation, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of building materials including glass installation, hardscape features, roofing materials, flooring options (tile & hardwood), masonry components, and drywall systems.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, electrical wiring basics, framing carpentry (including door hanging), trim carpentry & cabinet installation.
- Experience in construction estimating for project budgeting; ability to assess project scope accurately.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam for project documentation.
- Ability to perform concrete forming & finishing as well as plastering & stucco applications for aesthetic appeal.
- Capable of restoration work involving masonry repair or historic building preservation techniques.
- Knowledge of schematics for electrical or mechanical systems; ability to interpret technical diagrams effectively.
- Skilled in caulking & sealing techniques like caulking or stucco application; proficient in roofing & roofing repairs.
