Finding Trusted Care is looking for a compassionate, patient, and dependable female caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a sweet and medically fragile 4-year-old.
This position is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with medical needs or is eager to learn and make a meaningful difference in a family's life.
Schedule
- Part-time: Approximately 8–20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule to be determined with the family but afternoons or evenings the best
What You'll Do
Your primary role will be to provide attentive care while creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. Responsibilities may include:
- Engaging through play, activities, and interaction
- G-tube feedings
- Suctioning and respiratory treatments
- Diapering and bathing
- Assisting with transfers and mobility equipment
- Supporting physical therapy exercises as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining medical equipment
- Assisting with transportation to therapies and medical appointments
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred medical background or teaching background
- Experience caring for medically fragile children
- Comfortable with G-tube care, respiratory treatments, and seizure management
- Physically able to assist with transfers and mobility equipment
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid certification is required
- 10+ years of experience in related field
Bonus Skills
- Background in Special Education
- Background as a CNA, LPN, or RN
- Experience in Physical Therapy or pediatric rehabilitation
- Experience preparing homemade G-tube food blends
- Willingness to occasionally assist with the family's newborn, if needed
