Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with experience in various painting techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high standard of finish on all projects.
Requirement
- Must have your own reliable truck or van (you will be transporting yourself and sometimes tools & materials)
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and cleaning as necessary
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Perform plastering and caulking as needed for surface preparation
- Drywall and Stucco patching repair and texture matching
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites
Skills
- Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques
- Ability to apply stains and clear-coats
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment
- Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with renovation processes and trim carpentry skills
- Experience in industrial painting and fixture installation is a plus
- Strong maintenance person experience with maintenance capabilities is desirable
- Comfortable setting up and working on ladders and scaffold
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
