Programmable Permanent Lighting Installer – Subcontractor | $1,000–$1,500+ Per Project
Subcontract Installation Opportunity
Outdoor Innovations Lake Country is looking for a reliable subcontractor to help install programmable permanent architectural lighting systems on residential and commercial properties.
Demand for our permanent lighting installations is growing, and we're looking for someone we can develop a long-term working relationship with.
No permanent lighting experience is required. We'll train the right contractor on our installation methods and systems. Our goal is to find someone who can initially work alongside us, learn our process, and eventually take responsibility for completing installations independently.
Compensation
- Typical projects pay $1,000–$1,500+
- Project-based subcontractor compensation
- Larger and more complex installations may pay more
- Opportunity for consistent future projects as demand grows
- Additional installation opportunities during the busy holiday lighting season
What You'll Do
- Install programmable permanent architectural lighting systems
- Work primarily along residential and commercial rooflines and soffits
- Install mounting track, lighting, wiring, controllers, and related components
- Route and conceal wiring for a clean, professional finished installation
- Work safely from ladders and rooftops
- Troubleshoot installation issues when necessary
- Maintain Outdoor Innovations' standards for craftsmanship and appearance
- Professionally represent Outdoor Innovations while working at customer properties
Who We're Looking For
We're especially interested in contractors with experience in:
- Roofing
- Siding, soffit, and fascia
- Electrical
- Low-voltage systems
- Exterior construction
- Holiday or architectural lighting
- General contracting or handyman work
Lighting experience is not required. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, comfort working at heights, and the ability to learn our installation process are more important.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Must be dependable and able to complete scheduled projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Safety-minded with good judgment
- Professional appearance and communication with customers
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in Wisconsin weather
- Appropriate tools/equipment, insurance, and other subcontractor requirements will be discussed based on experience and scope of work
Training & Long-Term Opportunity
We're not simply looking for occasional extra labor.
Our goal is to develop a relationship with a contractor we can train on our permanent lighting systems and eventually hand complete installations to.
Initially, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside us and learn our installation standards, techniques, and equipment. As you become comfortable with the systems, the goal is for you to be able to complete projects independently.
For the right contractor, this could develop into consistent project-based work throughout the year as Outdoor Innovations continues to grow.
