Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.
Duties
- PART-TIME ONLY
- Tip-Based. Tips are Pooled and Shared with Team. Base Wage Minimum + Tips
- 3 Shifts Available 5am-10/11am AND 10/11am-3pm AND 1pm-7pm
- Monday-Sunday
- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Accurately take customer orders, both in-person and over the phone.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit card, and online payments.
- Provide information about the menu, including donut varieties, ingredients, and daily specials.
- Assist customers with any questions or concerns about their orders.
- Pack and serve donuts and other baked goods, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the counter, seating, and display cases.
- Ensure customer-facing areas are well-stocked with napkins, condiments, and other supplies.
- Address customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management when needed.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Ability to supervise and train junior staff when required.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist with inventory management.
- Skills in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
- Familiarity with product demonstrations to engage customers effectively.
- A proactive approach to maintaining a well-stocked and organized checkout area.
