Project Coordinator
Summary of Responsibility
Assist the Program Manager in all functions required for the successful implementation of new projects. Coordinate requirements to include PPAP, engineering changes, customer communication, etc during the pre-series, production, and service life of a project.
Job Description
- Act as assistant to Program Manager to include filling in as proxy for internal and external meetings and reviews
- Knowledge of APQP process and ability to effectively communicate inputs and outputs of the process internally, customers, and suppliers
- Required to be able to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on non-conformances for components during the project phase, implement corrective actions, and communicate corrective actions to customers.
- Must have the ability to perform or coordinate all project testing and trial requirements to include capability studies, CMM studies/analysis, paint validation testing, Run at Rates, and Gauge R&R studies
- Responsible for creating and or modification of FMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions. For items that will require input from multiple areas will coordinate the reviews and lead the teams.
- Be able to review and understand customer requirements
- Coordinate PPAP submission for all supplied components, create PPAP documentation, submit, and follow up with customer for PPAP closure
- Manage engineering change process to include communication of change from internal/external customer, feasibility of change request, determination of cost/time of change request, and implementation of engineering change to include all documentation
- Ability to set up new process and tooling
- Must be able to travel to suppliers and customers facilities. In some cases this may be on short notice.Health & Safety

- Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards (5S).
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, non-compliance issues.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree - preferred
- 1-2 years of Automotive manufacturing experience
- Two years’ Quality Engineer experience - preferred
· Experience with effective corrective action implementation and root cause evaluation, using methods such as: 5Y, Fishbone, 8Ds, DMAIC, Six Panels, Six Sigma
- Effective presentation / communication skills when speaking in front of large groups of people
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
- Comfortable with public speaking and effective communication
- Proficient problem solving and root cause analysis skill(s)
- Familiar with automotive fast-paced work environment and high priority customer reqs.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
