Maintenance Mechanic

Schedule
Work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts, giving you every other weekend off.
Available shifts:
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (includes $2/hour shift premium)

Summary
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Repair or replace mechanical components, including motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, and production equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation
- Assist with production changeovers, equipment setups, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Dismantle, rebuild, and modify equipment as needed to support plant operations
- Follow all safety procedures and preventive maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience through trade school or training
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature gauges, and pressure gauges
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanical/electrical schematics
- Experience operating test equipment and/or software
- Working knowledge of automated controls
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), hoists, and cranes, and maintain certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in paper converting, chemical/plastics processing, and/or packaging manufacturing environments
- Vocational, Technical, or Associate Degree in Machine Tool Technology, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electricity, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automation Controls, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience in electrical and mechanical trades such as HVAC, PLCs, and CNC equipment
