Supermarket Refrigeration Installer
Job Description
Installation role involves installing commercial rack refrigeration systems. These positions require 3+ years of experience and relevant licenses, focus on refrigeration rack installation, EMS wiring, and overseeing apprentices.
Key Aspects of the Role:
- Responsibilities: Installing commercial refrigeration systems, and reading blueprints, hanging coils, and managing job site safety.
- Provide support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.
- Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
- Provide construction support by welding and slip-hosing copper pipes, and assist the foreman as needed on the job.
- Provide support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Experience: working with commercial or supermarket refrigeration piping systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration piping practices, materials, and jointing methods
- Familiarity with rack refrigeration systems and energy management controls (including Novar, CPC, and Danfoss or similar systems)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and detailed work instructions
- Commitment to safe work practices and jobsite safety compliance
- Requirements: A High School Diploma/GED is required, along with significant experience (typically 3+ years) and relevant trade licenses (EPA608).
- Compensation & Benefits: Offers $28.00/hour+ (varies with experience), with sign-on bonuses, referral bonus program and Medical and Life insurance (paid by the company for employee only),Dental, Vision, AD&D and long-term disability available and 401(k).
- Work Environment: Year-round work involving travel/night shift and physical labor, including working at heights.
- Must have reliable transportation - weekly vehicle allowance provided
