Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, cocktails, and specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
- Demonstrate knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service to educate guests and enhance their experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address concerns professionally, and ensure a memorable dining experience
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience in beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and drink presentation
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with serving in high-volume environments or fast-paced restaurants is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
