Hours and Benefits: This is a full-time, in-person position offering a rate of $22 per hour, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, vacation, paid holidays, and sick leave.
ORGANIZATIONAL/PROGRAM BACKGROUND
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) was established in 1994 and incorporated as a formal non-profit collaborative in 2000 to address the socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families living in the City of Los Angeles, with a focus on Westlake and surrounding communities. and expanding to Koreatown in 2024. With the mission of catalyzing partnerships to systemically address the multiple challenges facing low-income families, CCNP works with its partners to help families create pathways to financial security and economic opportunity through our FamilySource Center (FSC) program, financial asset-building programs and other signature programs.
Position Overview
The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator is the initial contact when families contact the FamilySource Center. The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator will engage and focus on enrolling a minimum of 120 families on a monthly basis into the FamilySource Center. Responsible for pre-assessing the families, Intake and Eligibility Coordinator will develop and coordinate high-quality community resources, services and referrals that will enhance the economic opportunities for families. The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator oversees many of the duties related to the families served by the FamilySource Center. Duties include assisting families with access to services, conducting multi-benefit screenings and assisting with the overall enrollment for all programs offered by the FSC. Intake and Eligibility Coordinators will collaborate with community partners and other professionals to create support for the family and to affect changes at a systems level by being mindful of issues that affect the families. The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator will assist with the VITA- Tax Preparation Program in collaboration with the VITA Coordinator.
Intake and Eligibility Coordinator will perform a broad range of duties spanning the full employment cycle, including, but not limited to providing supporting and/or monitoring of the following:
- Conduct intake, multi-benefit screenings, pre-assessments, and comprehensive assessments of families’ needs, which may include a financial health assessment of the families’ banking, credit, debt and savings as well as educational and psychosocial assessments through LAUSD Pupil Service Attendance Counselors.
- Identify, develop and coordinate high quality community resources, services and referrals that will enhance the economic opportunity of families and assist them in addressing their needs;
- Conduct Multi-benefit Screenings using the online tool Your Benefits Now and enroll into other public benefits programs, including but not limited to utility discounts, LIFE coupons, and other assistance programs
- Determine specific needs to achieve the two primary outcomes of the FamilySource Center 1) Increase family income; 2) increase youth academic achievement.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with community resources; develop community resources and referrals; work with other team members on facilitating events as needed;
- Maintain up-to-date files and complete documentation in all client files as needed, including documentation of all meetings, referrals, and supportive services delivered.
- Maintain case record files; prepare statistical reports; participate in in-service training and staff development activities; maintain up-to-date information regarding customers prepare and submit reports to supervisor on a monthly basis; enter participant information into the database on a daily basis, including updates; and other documentation as needed.
- Familiarize families with the services coordination strategy, the visioning process of client goal-setting, and program expectations
- Maintain appropriate documentation to track families’ program participation
- Ensure that the family signs all appropriate paperwork and to complete the registration and referral process as needed.
- Present information in daily check-ins and weekly services review meetings with team members
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills required; ability to use tact and diplomacy in communication;
- Participate in the planning and coordination of yearly events for families, including Wellness Conferences, Community Events, Youth Leadership Programming; and
- Additional tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and experience with educational and asset-building programs and available resources;

- The ability to read, write and speak in English is required, and the ability to speak Spanish and/or Korean is preferred, given that many of the targeted families are monolingual in Spanish and/or Korean. Cultural sensitivity is required.
- Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Windows Operating System.
- Ability to manage databases and reporting systems in order to produce a variety of written reports
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience providing clerical and/or eligibility support
Other Requirements
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, liability insurance and access to an automobile in good working conditions;
- Must be available to work until 8 p.m. at least once per week; weekends and evenings as needed
