We're looking for a dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our pack. As a Kennel Attendant, you'll be responsible for supervising and caring for our furry clients, ensuring they have a fun and safe experience while they're with us, and keeping the facility clean at all times. Our ideal candidate will be upbeat and energetic, have some knowledge of social media, and a willingness to assist with outside events where we have the opportunity to speak to a lot of new potential customers.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Provide care and supervision for dogs of all sizes and breeds in a fully interactive environment.
· Assist with bathing and spa appointments.
· Sanitize/disinfect pet enclosures and general daycare areas.
· Make sure each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food and maintain cleanliness of food prep areas.
· Check and pick up urine and feces from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day.
· Perform daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
· Help manage daycare packs and be aware of medical or behavioral concerns, bringing them to the attention of a supervisor.
· Help manage daily operations of the facility including sweeping/vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning.
Qualifications:
· Must have open availability weekdays (including morning and afternoon shifts), weekends, and holidays.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Must have a passion for working with dogs and cats – pets are part of our family!
· Previous experience working with dogs is a plus.
· Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds. We accept every breed.
· Physical stamina to be on your feet all day, including lifting 40-50 pounds and bending to get down to the floor.
· Good communication skills, both with customers and co-workers.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Willing to clean up after dogs all day long.
· Must be 16 or older, morning shifts are required.
