Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, following established menus and recipes to ensure consistency and quality
- Prepare food items using proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and cooking methods aligned with food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
- Serve meals to residents or customers with professionalism and excellent communication with kitchen staff
- Follow food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety at all times
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and assisting with serving as needed
Experience
- Previous experience working in dietary departments or food service environments is highly preferred
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food safety management is essential
- Familiarity with restaurant or catering operations enhances your ability to adapt quickly in this role
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members
- Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence is advantageous
- Prior work involving meal preparation, serving, cleaning, and operating kitchen equipment will support success in this position
