Job Overview
Soft Life Therapeutics is seeking a qualified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Resident in Counseling to provide clinical services to individuals receiving behavioral health services. The clinician will be responsible for completing clinical assessments, developing treatment recommendations, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the care team to ensure clients' clinical needs are appropriately addressed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent documentation skills, knowledge of behavioral health services, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the treatment team.
Compensation
$200–$300 per completed assessment, based on experience and qualifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments for clients.
- Evaluate clients' presenting mental health needs, symptoms, functional limitations, strengths, and barriers to stability.
- Develop and/or assist with individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and identified client needs.
- Provide clinical recommendations regarding appropriate services, supports, referrals, and level of care.
- Review client records and relevant clinical information to support accurate assessment and treatment planning.
- Complete all required clinical documentation accurately, thoroughly, and within established timeframes.
- Ensure documentation meets applicable Virginia behavioral health, Medicaid, licensing, and agency requirements.
- Participate in case consultation and collaborate with other members of the treatment team regarding client needs and progress.
- Provide clinical guidance and recommendations to QMHP staff when appropriate.
- Monitor client needs and make recommendations for changes to services when clinically indicated.
- Assist with identifying appropriate community resources and referrals based on client needs.
- Coordinate with other behavioral health providers and community resources when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, agency, ethical, and professional standards.
- Maintain current licensure or residency status and meet all applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
- Complete other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current LPC, LCSW, or Resident in Counseling status in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment planning, behavioral health services, and community resources.
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the treatment team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental health needs is preferred.
- Experience with community-based behavioral health services is preferred.
