American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a small, satellite ER campus requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active GA or compact RN license.

Small, satellite ED with 14 beds, staffed with an on-site ambulance 24/7 for patient transfers requiring a higher level of care
-
Patient population spans pediatrics through geriatrics
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
-
EMR: Epic (required); also uses Pyxis, SBAR, and Spacelabs monitoring equipment
-
Wound care is performed virtually; no dedicated IV team on unit
-
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating to a larger main campus hospital located approximately 3 miles away is possible
-
No cafeteria on-site; vending machines are available for meal options
-
Active GA or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Epic experience required

Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Parts of orientation take place at the main campus hospital approximately 3 miles away
-
RTO is capped at 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week

RTO blackout dates apply: Spring Break (April 4–12)

Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work two of them
-
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full calendar year before returning as a traveler
-
No special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted night shift is firm

Navy blue scrubs are required
