$26-$33/hr DOE - OT after 40 - 40+ hrs guaranteed in season - home every night - NOT a steering-wheel-holder job.
Syd's Construction (CCB #231762, est. 2015) runs excavation and site-work crews across the Portland metro. We need a CDL driver (Class A or B with air brakes) who hauls rock and spoils for our own crews - and who can run a skid steer or excavator, or grab a shovel, when the truck's parked. If you want seat time on machines and skills that raise your rate, this is that job. If you only want to drive, this isn't.
What you'll do: dump truck hauling between our jobsites, quarries, and disposal (local only, no OTR), pre-trip/DVIR, weight compliance, equipment operating as your skills allow (loading your own truck is the goal), and ground work with the crew when hauling is slow.
You need: CDL A or B with air brakes, current DOT medical card, an MVR we can insure, and to pass a DOT drug screen + FMCSA Clearinghouse query. Dump/transfer experience preferred; excavator/skid steer/loader seat time = top of the range.
