Job Description:
As a Licensed Massage Practitioner at Dr. Buffalo, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality massage therapy services to our clients. You will assess each client’s needs, recommend appropriate treatments, and perform a variety of therapeutic techniques to relieve tension and improve overall health. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, sports, Vichy etc.) tailored to individual client needs.
- Provide consultation and assess clients' condition to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and treatment notes.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and inviting environment for clients.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, including confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and certifications.
- Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their preferences, and adapting to their comfort levels.
- Assist with the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the massage space.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) or Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP).
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in massage therapy is required.
- Strong knowledge of massage techniques and body mechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to clients' specific needs and provide tailored treatments.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (if applicable).
Preferred Skills:
- Additional certifications in specialty massage techniques (e.g., prenatal, lymphatic drainage, etc.) are a plus.
- Previous experience in a spa or wellness center setting.
