Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead menu planning and development, incorporating innovative Mexican dishes/salsas while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all kitchen activities.
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals.
- Monitor food handling procedures and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant kitchens, with a strong background in fine dining, catering, or banquet services.
- Recipe creation and costing.
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced food service environment is essential.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food management practices within the hospitality industry.
- Expertise in food production, menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively and motivate team members.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and health regulations related to the food industry.
