Job Title: Swim Camp Instructor

Reports To: Activities Manager
We are seeking an outgoing individual who represents the Courthouse as a great host to our youngest members and children in the community. Our swim staff creates a fun, safe, and engaging experience. This person would be trained as a Swim instructor. They drive the experience of our extracurricular swim activities during the summer. A necessity is to interact with parents/guardians by being a great host to the experience being given for the benefit of the children we serve.

Swim Camp Instructor - Courthouse offers a variety of swim opportunities from parent-tot (taught), group lessons, private lessons, and summer camps. Swim instructors are responsible for teaching swim skills guided by Swim America curriculum to participants.
Key Responsibilities:-

Strong ability or experience caring for and/or supervising children

Be an engaging host in guiding the experience of the given activity

Mature and confident ability to work with parents/guardians

Ensuring the environment is safe, clean, organized, and well-maintained

Know and enforce all department policies

Be knowledgeable about programming

Confidence in working with and managing multiple children from 2 months to 13 years

Customer service experience

Incorporate rapport to strengthen customer satisfaction

Adaptable to a busy work environment

Reliable transportation

Able to sit or stand for extended periods

Ability to bend, lift, and carry infants and small children.

Previous pool safety or swim experience

Reliable, punctual, and eager to accept responsibility

Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends

Monday - Friday: 5:00a - 11:00p

Saturday - Sunday: 7:00a - 9:00p
Department Shift Hours (may vary) - Seasonal | June through August
