Responsibilities and Duties
* Instruction of IEP goals and grade level content
* Complete IEP paperwork and other re-evaluations as need
* Collaborate with grade level teachers and rest of EC team
* Have patience and understanding of our amazing students
* Be a team player and bring ideas to enhance our school
* Bring a love for learning each day
Qualifications and Skills
We seek highly qualified teachers. By definition, highly qualified is one who is fully certified and/or licensed by the state; holds at least a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution; and demonstrates competence in each core academic subject area in which the teacher teaches. Lateral entry candidates may be considered.
Teachers should have good communication skills and experience working with children in a child care facility or school.
EC Teachers must:
- Hold the appropriate licensure for teaching or administrating special education programs. Lateral entry may be considered.
- Must work well with elementary and middle school students
- Have good Classroom Management
- Have a four year college degree
- Be kind, dedicated, and patient
