What You'll Do
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the preconstruction process by helping develop accurate budgets, bid proposals, and pricing strategies that set our projects up for success.
Responsibilities include:
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Assist in preparing conceptual budgets, estimates, and bid proposals.
- Participate in project site visits and pre-bid meetings.
- Identify scope gaps, conflicts, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Prepare and track RFIs during the bidding process.
- Maintain accurate bid documentation and estimating records.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and leadership.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, and vendors.
- Assist with continuous improvement of our estimating systems and databases.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of construction estimating, project engineering, project coordination, or related commercial construction experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Comfortable working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on commitments.
