Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems on heavy trucks, industrial equipment, and farm machinery
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, trailer alignments, and brake repairs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs
- Conduct heavy equipment operation including forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate repairs or testing procedures
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance performed in compliance with safety standards
- Assist with equipment assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and industrial equipment maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge of Caterpillar, Cummins, or similar heavy machinery brands
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems for vehicles and equipment
- Hands-on experience with welding, soldering, heavy lifting, operations (preferred but not necessary)
- Familiarity with schematics for vehicle systems and the use of power tools for precision repairs
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, powertrain repairs, and air brake systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring heavy lifting or equipment operation
- Per diem is available on a case by case basis for applicants applying from out of town.
- Site available on location for parking RV's or travel trailers with water/sewer and electrical available.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
