Responsibilities:
Oversee the admissions process from initial contact to discharge, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for patients and families
Coordinate and communicate with referring healthcare providers, insurance companies, and family members to facilitate timely and efficient admissions
Develop and implement strategies to increase admissions volume and optimize bed utilization
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure that patient needs are met and care is delivered in a patient-centered and dignified manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases to track admissions, patient outcomes, and departmental performance
Develop and manage budgets, including staffing, supplies, and equipment for the admissions department
Foster strong relationships with local healthcare providers, insurance companies, and community organizations to promote Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness Center's services and reputation
Requirements:
Marketing, sales, admissions experience in the long-term care field
Strong leadership and management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare software systems
