Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Dishwasher to join our vibrant kitchen team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment to support our culinary operations. Your energetic approach will ensure that dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards. As well as help clear out dishes and take them back from the dining area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of a fast-paced hospitality environment where teamwork and attention to detail drive success.
This position is currently open for Friday & Saturday weekly with the possibility of being open to more in the future.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glasses, utensils, and cookware are cleaned to the highest sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining smooth kitchen operations
- Properly handle and store food items in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene regulations
- Buse tables and clear dining areas promptly to support seamless food service flow
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and overall kitchen environment
- Assist with manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes safely and correctly
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining health and safety standards by adhering to sanitation guidelines and safety procedures
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety management principles
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools effectively
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards including sanitation procedures
- Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep when necessary
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual handling tasks
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality service excellence
