Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA with experience in Assisted Living to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist patients with daily activities, support nursing staff, and ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding patient care and progress.
- Help transport patients within the facility as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and common areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans effectively.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in emergency medicine and phlebotomy as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is an asset.
- Experience in nursing homes, teaching hospitals, or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant and/or Trained Medication Aide is preferred.
