Join our recycling company as a Commercial Account Manager where you will help expand our commercial partnerships, strengthen customer relationships, and help organizations turn recycling into an environmental impact.
Key Highlights:
· Located in Salt Lake City
· $22--$25 per hour, depending on experience.
· 40 hours per week: 8-5 PM Monday through Friday
Job Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for 300-400 of Momentum Recycling’s commercial customers.
- Drive client retention and overall client satisfaction.
- Accurately assess & analyze evolving client needs and identify appropriate solutions.
- Monitor client waste diversion activities to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities.
- Immediately respond to client inquiries & requests.
- Assist drivers with questions and issues related to client services.
- Maintain accurate client information and activity tracking using the company’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) software & internal systems.
- Build client relationships with accurate, professional communication.
- Monitor client invoices to help ensure that all accounts are current. When a client becomes delinquent, engage with the client to bring the account current. If a client becomes considerably delinquent, take action to stop service until payment is received.
- Participate in the formulation & implementation of remedial actions for such things as stream contamination, service-related problems, and billing concerns.
- Working alongside the operations team, be responsible for the client onboarding process, including account setup, container allocation, initial training, & related functions.
- Conduct regular “health checks” with each customer (targeting 1-2x per year, per client), including onsite inspections, & coordinate follow-up activities.
- Conduct recycling training sessions for clients and their staff onsite at client locations.
- Act as the company representative at select community meetings, sponsored activities, networking events, recycling associations, and trade shows.
- Help develop process improvements, system enhancements, budgeting, and other tools that improve the company’s service offerings.
- Be physically present at the Company office Monday-Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm MST. Work remotely on Fridays in the same time window.
- Maintain an awareness of recycling market trends and proactively adjust to them: fully commit to advancing sustainability in the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications:
· Steadfast commitment to advancing sustainability in the community.
· Bachelor’s Degree in sustainability, marketing, or business equivalent, OR direct experience managing relationships in a business-to-business setting.
· Background in the recycling industry is a plus but not required.
· Enthusiastic personality: motivated, gregarious, resilient, curious, and patient.
· Excellent communication & negotiating skills: engaging, honest, and creative.
· Strong listening skills: empathetic and able to understand & relate to a client’s needs.
· Self-starter who is achievement oriented and embraces challenges.
· Confidence: not hesitant to engage people in conversation.
· Adaptability: excellent multi-tasking skills to manage multiple concurrent opportunities.

· Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
· Professional attitude & appearance.
· Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience is a plus.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
