Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Train and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in cooking and food production as needed to support the kitchen team.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new staff members.
- Implement training programs for new employees to ensure they meet company standards.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management of the shift.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment, with a strong background in food service management. Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in supervising or managing a team within the food industry.
- Culinary experience with knowledge of food handling and production techniques.
- Familiarity with casual dining or fine dining settings is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of restaurant operations.
