Job Summary
We are seeking a Septic Pump Truck Driver/Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating septic pump trucks and related equipment to service residential, commercial customers. You’ll be responsible for pumping and disposing of hazardous waste from residential and commercial septic systems. You’ll drive a company service truck to customer locations, operate vacuum equipment, and ensure every job is handled safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport waste materials to designated disposal sites using appropriate equipment.
- Locating and digging up septic tank lids, pulling hoses and pumping out septic tanks.
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are maintained.
- Route driving across various locations, managing schedules efficiently to meet customer needs while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Connect hoses and pumps to septic systems accurately for effective waste removal; monitor operations during service calls for optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, route logs, maintenance reports, and safety checks for accountability and compliance purposes.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service procedures and address any questions or concerns promptly.
- Follow ALL DOT rules and regulations.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Valid CDL class A/B license w/tanker endorsement and hazmat endorsement, with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with route driving across urban or rural areas to optimize delivery schedules.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
