Upton & Baker DDS has continued to grow and is looking to add a hygienist to our wonderful team. We are open Mon-Thurs from 7:30am to 4:00pm with a 1-hour lunch. Enjoy getting home a little earlier each afternoon and having Fridays off! We are looking for applicants seeking a full time position (4 days per week, averaging ~32-35 hours per week).
We have some flexibility with the start date but are definitely looking to have someone in place by January, 2027 at the latest.
We are an established, 2 doctor office located in downtown Wake Forest. We are a smaller practice less focused on seeing as many people as we can each day and more focused on forming long standing patient relationships and performing high quality work. We like to keep things simple and have no plans of opening multiple locations or selling ownership to corporate groups.
We primarily treat adults/seniors and hygiene is a very important part of our practice that we don’t overlook or rush. Our hygienists typically see 6-7 patients a day and we usually book 60-70 minutes for normal prophy recalls, 90 minutes for two quadrants of SRP, etc. We bring in most new patients through the doctor’s column to allow a more comprehensive NP exam, initial perio probing and SRP diagnosis, photos, charting of existing restorations, etc. so those duties don't usually fall to our hygienists.
We offer competitive hourly wages based on experience and other benefits (matching retirement contributions, PTO, paid holidays, profit sharing bonus system, scrub allowance, etc.) in a friendly office environment designed to provide work/life balance. Long-term experience is welcome but not required and we are open to new hygienists. We are fortunate to have a hard working, low drama, supportive team and will prioritize applicants who fit into that group. Basic skills, the desire to be a helpful team player, and the personality to provide a great patient experience are some of the main attributes we are looking for in an applicant.
