Overview
TP Freight Lines is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting & Customer Service Clerk to support our LTL and FTL freight operations.
This role works closely with the Office Manager and supports daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer communication, and data entry functions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with financial data, freight billing, and customer interaction in a fast-paced transportation office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Support
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Apply payments and assist with collections follow-up
- Assist with bank and account reconciliations
- Enter and review employee timecards for payroll support
- Maintain accurate income and expense records
Customer Service (LTL / FTL)
- Serve as a point of contact for customers via phone and email
- Provide billing support and explain freight charges and accessorials
- Respond to shipment and delivery inquiries
- Coordinate communication with dispatch, drivers, and operations
Administrative & Data Entry
- Accurately enter financial, customer, and shipment data
- Maintain organized records and filing systems
- Answer phones and route calls appropriately
- Support general office organization
Required Experience & Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, billing, or customer service within an LTL/FTL freight environment
- Working knowledge of freight billing, accessorial charges, and customer communication
- Experience supporting accounting or office management functions
Required Skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook required)
- Google Docs proficiency
- Strong 10-key and data entry skills
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Professional customer communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Open office setting
- Moderate to loud noise levels
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish-speaking ability (preferred)
- Experience working with dispatch and drivers
