What You'll Do
Empower Students to Succeed
- Guide students through career exploration and help them discover meaningful career paths
- Develop individualized employment plans that align with each student's interests, strengths, and goals
- Teach job readiness, workplace expectations, communication, interviewing, and professional skills
- Provide one-on-one coaching and facilitate engaging group learning sessions
Support Workplace Success
- Provide on-site job coaching during internships and employment experiences
- Build relationships with internship supervisors and host site staff
- Help students gain confidence, overcome challenges, and develop independence in real work environments
- Provide ongoing follow-along support to ensure long-term employment success
Build Community Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with host sites and internship partners
- Collaborate with educators, families, DVR counselors, employers, and community agencies
- Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities and workplace success
Ensure Quality Services
- Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, progress reports, and job site analyses
- Monitor participant progress and celebrate milestones
- Stay informed on disability employment services, labor laws, and vocational rehabilitation best practices
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a related field
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
- Passion for helping individuals achieve independence through employment
