Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among young children.
- Manage daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities with patience and professionalism.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment for all children.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education practices when working with children who have additional needs or require extra support.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities that foster literacy education and early math skills.
- Proven classroom management skills to maintain an organized, engaging learning environment.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other early childhood education philosophies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or special education.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with diverse learning styles or developmental challenges.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare settings.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
